RLPL were approached by the previous property owners (Woodhouse Pastoral Company) to compile a consultant team to apply for an amendment to rezone a proportion of the property (1,400 Ha) to a Special Use Zone. This rezoning application was significant in that it was out of sequence and generally seen as being difficult to support for this reason. Notwithstanding initial doubts by some, the amendment process was run followed by a panel hearing which initially granted approval for some 2,900 house lots which has subsequently been amended to allow 4,500 allotments together with a town centre, 2 golf courses, retention of the historic homestead and gardens and equestrian facilities. RLPL where then appointed by the new owners with the vision to expand to 10,000 lots and deliver community facilities such as government schools, ovals/pavilions, roads and infrastructure.
