In 1961 Robert Luxmoore Reed – from northern Tasmania – established Robert Luxmoore Pty Ltd, a company specialising in property development including residential subdivision and retail and office projects. In the late 1960s Robert Luxmoore Pty Ltd developed the first Woolworths supermarket in Western Australia, in the Perth suburb of Gosnells – the company's first major commercial project. In the early to mid-1970s Robert Luxmoore expanded its activities to Queensland. From the mid-1970s to the early 1980s the company acted as an earth-moving contractor for projects throughout Tasmania, specialising in large government infrastructure projects including roads, dams and housing developments. In 1991 Robert Reed and his son Simon formed what is now known as Robert Luxmoore Project Management, based in Melbourne. The company provides project management services principally in Victoria and Tasmania, but also in South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and New Zealand. Today, Robert Luxmoore Project Management is one of Australia's most versatile project management companies, with skills spanning coordination of planning and rezoning applications, retail, commercial, residential, golf, retirement and renewable projects. Robert Luxmoore Project Management has built a strong and enviable reputation for taking projects from ideas to reality. |
